Suttle Group HGV Experience – Hosted at Wetherby Training
The team at Wetherby Training, part of the Suttle Group, recently hosted an unforgettable Suttle Driving Experience Day — giving guests the chance to get behind the wheel of a Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) on our very own private training and testing track in Wetherby.
From the moment the engines started, the excitement was clear. Guests were guided by our experienced instructors as they took control of our training vehicles, navigating the track and experiencing first-hand what it’s like to drive a truck.

Hands-On HGV Driving and Reversing Challenges
One of the day’s highlights was the HGV reversing challenge, where participants tested their precision and control under the watchful eye of our qualified trainers. For many, it was their first time manoeuvring a vehicle of this size — and the sense of achievement when they nailed it was priceless.
More Than Just Trucks
The event wasn’t just about HGVs. Suttle Transport proudly sponsors the DD Racing team, and they joined us on the day to showcase their bikes. It was a fantastic addition to the experience, giving guests the chance to see the race bikes up close and meet the people behind the team — a great example of the passion and community spirit within the Suttle Group.
