Train at our purpose-built centre using our remote-control HIAB crane – complete with a choice of attachments – or arrange training at your own site using your equipment.

HIAB Attachments Covered
You’ll have the chance to train with and get certified on one, two, or all three of the following:
- Hook – general-purpose lifting
- Brick Clamp – perfect for builders merchants
- Clamshell / Grab Bucket – ideal for muck-away and tipper work
We recommend choosing multiple attachments to increase your employability and flexibility on site.
Slinger / Signaller Training Available
While our HIAB course includes basic slinger/signaller instruction, we also offer full standalone slinger/signaller courses – ideal for drivers’ mates or logistics support staff.

At Our Centre (Wetherby, West Yorkshire)
Train on our modern HIAB crane with:
- Remote control functionality
- 3 attachments: hook, brick clamp, clamshell (grab bucket)
- 3-stage boom with powered rotator
On-Site at Your Premises
We can deliver training at your site using your own crane. Perfect for businesses who want to train multiple staff in a familiar setting.
Training Days & Group Sizes
- Training typically runs on Thursdays, Fridays or Saturdays
- One-to-one or small group sessions (up to 4 trainees)
- Shared or individual sessions available
Certification
On successful completion, you’ll receive an ALLMI Lorry Loader Certificate and Photocard, valid for 5 years and recognised across the UK construction and logistics sectors. ALLMI certification can also include a CSCS Site Safety Qualification.

ALLMI stands for the Association of Lorry Loader Manufacturers and Importers. It is the UK’s recognised authority for lorry loader (HIAB) training standards.
ALLMI-accredited HIAB training follows nationally recognised standards set by the lorry loader industry. It ensures operators are trained safely, competently, and in line with current legislation and best practice.
ALLMI is widely regarded as the gold standard for lorry loader training in the UK and is often preferred (or required) by employers, principal contractors, and insurers.
